Cate Whittemore is a visual artist, illustrator, set designer, and educator. She is a former scenic artist who painted Broadway backdrops, an award-winning cartoonist, and a court-room sketch artist. In 2011 she was honored to be commissioned by the International Campaign for Tibet, to create a mandala poster on religious freedom, which featured a sanctioned portrait of the Dalai Lama.

She is interested in the meanings and insights found through creativity. Her work explores depiction, self-expression, non-objective, color harmonies, sequence, & metaphysical imagery.
