BIO
Cate Whittemore, MFA, IATSE, is an American classically-trained fine artist, illustrator, educator and designer and painter for union productions for theater, film and TV.
Her work is motivated by the insights that come from creativity. Her process is always evolving, exploring the necessities, instability and fluid logic of paint, and how experiments and mistakes can externalize and transform meaning.
She maintains a full-time painting studio in Buena Vista, CO, where she teaches locally (please see Simple.Supply.Com for 2026 classes) and on retreat in Skyros, Greece.. www.skyros.com.
